Omniya Tajni D1: Discuss the client considerations for the creation of the product from the pitch After reading the client brief, it asked me to translate an urban legend story into a 5 min short film script for it to be held in the East London Film Festival. I believe that by reading this, I must have included locations that are only located in East London. I have developed my ideas from 2 different urban legend stories I found when researching. The urban legend stories are called 'the baby sitter & the man upstairs' & 'the clown statue'. At first my only interest was in the babysitter and the man upstairs but after planning the synopsis of what my film was going to be about, I had a feeling that something is missing that urban legend theme. After realising this, I did more research where I found the story of the clown statue, as it also linked with the idea of my film and after audience research I believed that it would be something interesting to ad...

Omniya Tajni M2: Identify potential client questions and amend pitch and proposal  documentation Before going off to pitch my short film script to the panel, I practiced pitching it to a couple of peers to try and guess some questions that may be asked & see any last minute improvements I could make.  This was a good help as it has allowed me to see what I have missed and what I could improve on.  Questions that my peers have asked/what could be potential client questions: 1. Why did you decide to add a clown to this short film? 2. Because its so hard to film in train stations, what would you do if you don't get a license for filming some of the scenes there ? 3. How do you think your film will appeal to people not from your target audience? The answers I gave:  1. 'After researching urban legend stories and doing my audience research, I came to a conclusion that having a clown in an urban legend, would create that theme and effect to the...

Omniya Tajni P2: Create a proposal and client documentation to support the pitch I have created my treatment on a presentation.  The requirements of the client brief After reading the client brief I believe that my script has been successful and I am now short listed, but in order for my film to be produced I must pitch my script idea to a panel of industry specialists. If my pitch was to be successful, my script would be presented in this years East London Urban Film Festival. I understand that the panel is interested on where my inspiration came from and how I have developed it into my final idea. I must discuss the thoughts I have made along the way of making the script and the research I made on different urban legend stories & how I have converted this to meet the urban legend genre. On top of my pitch presentation, I must have produced a proposal and some evidence on the plan of my script.  What my story is about My script is called ‘th...

Omniya Tajni P3: Create a pitch to communicate an idea to the client THE SNAPCHAT STALKER – WRITTEN BY OMNIYA TAJNI I have created a Prezi power point; I will be using this to pitch to my panel. I have created some notes that I will be memorising in order to give the panel more information about my script. You can find my presentation pitch:  https://prezi.com/p/w8eajwy2nwsr/ Slide 1: What my script is about My script is called ‘the snapchat stalker’ it is about a girl that is receiving loads of messages and snaps by someone who she think is her ex-boyfriend, constantly following her and seeing everything she does. The reason why she thinks that it could be him is because the whole reason as to why she left him was due to this behaviour, like she didn’t have freedom as he knew her every move. Slide 2: Inspiration My story is inspired by 2 different urban legend stories: ‘the babysitter & the man upstairs’ & ‘the clown statue’. The babysitter and the ...
